Found Pearl Press

Found Pearl Press is the publishing venture of Jesus Metropolitan Community Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our mission is to provide Christian resources for the LGBTQ community and beyond.

Some of those resources will be queer-specific (like our first book, The Children Are Free), while others will be universally applicable, like our upcoming Discipleship 101 and 102 curriculum.

What’s with the name “Found Pearl”?

Our name is taken from Jesus’ parable in Matthew 13, where he talks about the value of the Kingdom of God. We have observed firsthand that the Kingdom has often been denied to God’s LGBTQ children, and we hope that our resources will play a part in correcting this tragic injustice. The Realm of God is a great treasure, and should be available to all who wish to be a part of it.

But there’s another dimension to our name. We believe that LGBTQ people are treasures to God, and just like the man in the parable, God will make extraordinary effort to bring us home.
